Looking back, I’ve already spent more than 10 years coaching friends and family. In July 2005, I made it official and received my life coaching certification from Martha Beck (www.MarthaBeck.com) through the North Star Group. The coaching style is straight-forward, fun, highly interactive, and results-oriented—a perfect fit for people motivated to make positive changes in their life.

My background reveals my diverse interests. I have an undergraduate degree in meteorology from Arizona State University, and while I’ve never worked in the field, I still have an intense interest in the weather. Several years later, I earned an MBA from Phillips University in Oklahoma. I’ve used this degree in many different ways. I’ve owned a jewelry manufacturing business with my dad, handcrafting 24K solid gold jewelry. A few years after we started the business—in 1995—I earned my Graduate Gemologist diploma, which was helpful in rounding out my knowledge of colored gemstones and diamonds. I’ve also used my business background as a marketing consultant with the Small Business Administration mentoring other small business owners interested in expanding their businesses.

Even while the past decade has been primarily focused on business and coaching, I’ve found time to study other areas of interest to me. I’m a certified Vedic astrologer, and a certified graphologist. I’m a remote viewer, involved in an active, international remote viewing group. I also volunteer a considerable amount of time to two other areas I’m passionate about: mediation and desert conservation. I volunteer as a mediator for our local Justice Courts, and as a Steward for Scottsdale’s McDowell Sonoran Conservancy.

When I’m not working or volunteering, I probably have my nose buried in a book (I’m a self-confessed bibliophile), or I’m traveling, hiking, practicing a yoga pose, or listening to Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony (which I’m crazy about). To round out my life, I’ve been married for 21 happy years to my husband, Paul. We met at Arizona State University when we were students and have since lived through many extraordinary times together.

As I see it, the diversity of all these interests has really led me to my one true passion—helping people help themselves. I encourage everyone I coach to understand themselves in a new way, a new light,
so that their lives can take off.

I would say that I’m a “Jill of all trades, and a mistress of one—coaching!” And I figure that’s what a person would like in a life coach...one who has experienced a lot of life!

"Roma is an empathic, enthusiastic, insightful coach who can be the perfect sounding board for someone in the middle of any significant change. She'll help you see through the illusions that are keeping from knowing or realizing your biggest dreams, and gently nudge you along the path to creating your best life. If I were going through a dull or frightening patch in my own life, I'd love having Roma as my backup."
