I facilitate a remarkably simple, yet powerful process of self-inquiry called The Work. It enables you to identify and question stressful thoughts and limiting beliefs, and offers a way to address your problems with clarity. I find that it leads to a profound inner peace.

The Work is four simple questions with turnarounds. Once you identify your stressful thought (let’s say it’s “my boss doesn’t value me”), ask yourself the following four questions:

1. Is it true?
2. Can you absolutely know that it’s true?
3. How do you react, what happens, when you believe that thought?
4. Who would you be without that thought?

Turn the (stressful) thought around (for example, to its opposite: “my boss does value me”). Find three genuine examples of how the turnaround is as true or truer in your life.
